Landscape design can be a medium that connects us to the natural world, ecology and importantly to each other.

Join internationally acclaimed designer Tom Stuart-Smith, psychiatrist and psychotherapist Dr Sue Stuart-Smith, horticultural therapist and nurse Steven Wells and author Georgina Reid describe and explore these relationships.

Tom has created landscapes and gardens which elicit profound messages and develop an important and growing dialogue with nature, the garden and our well-being.

Tom is visiting Australia for the first time in 45 years with his wife Dr Sue Stuart-Smith, UK psychiatrist, psychotherapist and bestselling author. This will be Sue’s first visit. They are joined by horticultural therapist Steven Wells who will share his experiences from studies in Therapeutic Horticulture and work at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne.

The presentations will conclude with a discussion lead by author, landscape designer and now PhD candidate Georgina Reid of Wonderground at this special Land Escapism event in Sydney.
